Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has slammed Cody Gakpo, insisting that the attacker played in ‘slow motion’ during the Reds’ 4-3 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final tie on Sunday.
Carragher also said Liverpool’s attack was ‘very poor’ against Man United.
In a tweet on X after the game, the former England defender wrote: “Gakpo plays like the game is in slow motion.
“Unbelievable game & it’s a great result for Man United but Liverpool only have themselves to blame.
“Scored three & still the attacking players were all very poor. Can’t complain too much as they’ve been amazing all season.”
Liverpool will now shift their attention to the Premier League and the Europa League.
